Luciano Padella, known as Settempedano, was born in the small town of San Severino in Italy in 1942. He paints all along, and he has never had a teacher neither followed a trend or a particular movement, except at the beginning when he’s influenced by Braque and Juan Gris. After his post-cubist experience he is more interested in reality, and takes inspiration from nature and from his lands, in the centre of Italy.
This relationship with his region, is gonna last forever, and it gives him all the inspiration for his art, also during his period in Milan.
The artworks of Settempedano are full of life and color: the landscapes he paints, show a calm and relaxing nature described by the bright colors of the countryside.
