Fabio Cuman

Fabio Cuman

Fabio Cuman was born in Varese in 1972. He is a painter and sculptor and he worked in his studio in San Giuliano Milanese, near Milano. The most important steps of his artistic production are in the 90° years. The artist focuses on the search and development of the Color, researching the various harmonies and contrasts. After, he operates with the material and tests different assembly with acrylic, rope and woods on raw canvas. Now, with his research, the artist has a great mastery on the volume and the material. He creates artworks which include all his experiments with the material and the colors. Another important topic of the Cuman's production is the drawing, which is thin, elegant and almost imperceptible. One of the most important and famous productions is "The army of the ash", a product which includes paintings and sculptures. The first work which opens the project is his self portrait. It decomposes from the right to the dark side of the army. The army's painting develop on the dark tone because they are born from the shadows as the sculptures are born from the dark. This army collection is featured by a continuous search of the lights through dripping white added over the dark background. Fabio Cuman has exposed in the national and international exhibitions, and in 2012 he made his first retrospective: "Legends of a lost wood" in the Zamenhof Gallery in Milan, "The army of the ash" in Olimpia Room Artecultura in Milan, and the Exhibition Room Mario Tapia in San Giuliano Milanese, Milan.
