Campbell's Soup - Chicken Noodle

A reinterpretation of the famous Andy Warhol's silkscreen, published by Sunday B. Morning, printed with ink of excellent quality after the artist's death. 
Andy Warhol reversed the rules of painting, in his view, the task of art was no longer to invent something new, but to be available to everyone, from the president of the United States to the common housewife.
This is the reason why he choose subjects taken and repeated endlessly by the media, by the high-consumption products such as Coca-Cola, the icons of American society of the time as Elvis and the beautiful Marilyn.
Taking off to them, the aura of Hollywood stars, through the technique of silkscreen Warhol tries to start a process of democratization of art.
For this series of portraits, the artist chooses one of the most popular subjects of Warhol, the can of Campbell's soup become a symbol of mass consumerism and pop vision of the company.

The consumption's massification has always been the center of research and experimentation of Andy Warhol's art.
Many are divided on the issue of his intent to use everyday objects and turn them into works of art.
Some claim that he wanted to make sure that no one linger too judgments that would have made his works criticism like all the others, especially using images then already well assimilated by the observers and unconsciously present in their minds.
Others see in his work a purely social criticism towards a society that is identified in these uniform products/objects.
Campbell's Soup are one of his most famous subjects. Campbell's is a company still existing that owes much of its fame to Warhol, although active since the end of 1800. It is a manufacturer of soups that distributes all over the world its famous cans.
Warhol himself claimed to eat Campbell's tomato soup very often during his childhood. From the shelves of the supermarket to the pantries of most American homes, through the paintings by Warhol, the soup can have become an icon.

Not only painted or printed, these soups have become objects of art even in their own fitness jar.
Open, closed, consumed, these jars become works of art, because the same way as images we see everywhere, so their condition makes them used the same way already unconsciously assimilated.

 

This work has no frame so it will be protected with a rigid supports and shipped very quickly in one day from payment. If the shipment is outside EU it is necessary to prepare an export documentation: that can take up to a week of time. We will pay for the shipment if we lose or damage it!

If you live in Europe (CEE) the price we show you already includes taxes. The works are taxed either with VAT exposed (22%) or VAT with the margin, if you are a private person you do not change anything, if you are a company: in In the first case, you will recover the VAT, in the second, no. When you put the works in the cart you will be separated from the vat exposed.

If you DON'T LIVE IN EU and you want an EXTRA EU shipping

Many works (not all) have an exposed VAT of 22% included in the price, this vat will be spun off! Obviously you will pay the VAT to your destination country, if due. For example if you live in Switzerland you save 22% but you will have to pay 7.7% to your customs, if you live in Hong Kong you will save 22% and you will not have to pay anything to your customs (lucky you).
